More importantly, by removing half of the axles and suspensions, we can reduce the vehicle's weight to only half of a 3 files trailer! ❐When our customers provide us with information about the goods and transportation requirements of the road conditions, we realize the challenges we face! First, the transportation path of the goods includes local bridges, so there are restrictions on the total weight of the trailer and goods. Secondly, all the tires of the trailer must be pressed on the bridge piers without any deviation.

❐Initially, our proposed solution was to design a hydraulic modular trailer with adjustable width. However, due to budget constraints, the customer hoped that we could design a vehicle solution that was cheaper and had a wider range of future applications! After many discussions between the two parties, we proposed the design of the split version of the STN-V3 trailer. We designed the width of the widening platform in the middle of the STN-V3 trailer according to the width of the supports of the two bridge piers to ensure that the tires on both sides of the STN-V3 trailer are just pressed on the bridge piers! Additionally, to further reduce the weight of the vehicle, our engineering team designed a steering system that can remove the suspensions and tires of the even-numbered axles! During the equipment debugging process, we simulated the use of removing the even-numbered axles by lifting the even-numbered axles and locking the corresponding suspension steering system to replicate the scenario of removing the even-numbered axles! As shown in the video we presented, the vehicle's steering and operating systems are all in good condition! After we remove the middle widening platform, we can use the split STN-V3 as our normal standard STN-V3 trailer.

❐ In fact, a 3-file modular trailer also has a standard width of 4180mm. To clearly show the difference, we placed the Supro trailer with wideners next to a traditional 3-file trailer. You’ll notice that Supro’s design still uses a 2-file structure, with only a widening platform added in the middle. This means we achieve the same width as a 3-file trailer, but with significantly less weight.

❐ The Supro split-version hydraulic modular trailer, equipped with a widening spacer, reaches a width of 4180mm. But does this affect its steering performance?What’s more, our design allows the suspension and tires of the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th axles to be removed—yet the trailer still maintains full steering capability. In this demonstration, we’ve lifted those axles to simulate their removal, and as you can see, the trailer performs flawlessly.
